Who Is Doughnuts On The Masked Singer? The Masked Singer UK Clues

Fans took to Twitter to express their ideas of who Doughnuts could be, with football celebrities’ names cropping up like Gary Lineker.

The famous singing competition The Masked Singer is back on ITV, meaning fans are going wild on social media in a bid to discover who is hiding under the mask.

The show sees celebrities dressing up in large, colourful costumes and performing cover songs to a panel of judges who try to work out what their real identity is.

The reality show is based on the South Korean show King of Mask Singer, which has since spread worldwide and has at last reached our shores.

Who is Doughnuts on The Masked Singer?

With four stars being revealed so far on the show, there aren’t too many celebrities left to decipher before The Masked Singer 2021 winner can be announced. One of the contestants is hiding behind “Doughnuts”, so who is it?

The delicious stack of sugary-sweet pastries sang Surviour’s “Eye of the Tiger” for their performance, while Doughnuts was overheard calling himself “extra speedy” in a Liverpudlian accent during the VT.

The character also explained that aside from “being sweet, I’ve also been savoury”, while viewers were shown pick ‘n’ mix football sweets.

Fans took to Twitter to express their ideas of who Doughnuts could be, with football celebrities’ names cropping up like Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and Gary Lineker

However, fans who were convinced it was Lineker will be disappointed, as the ex-footballer denied it was him under the mask after Emma Kennedy guessed it was him on Twitter.

She said on the platform: “Doughnut: @GaryLineker (No need to thank me).”

Lineker shut her claims down, saying: “You’ll never see me on that show…or Strictly, ever.”

Elsewhere, viewers guessed Doughnuts could be Owen, as the character made a reference to a “jockey”, and Owens is a known horse racing fan and owns a stables.

And as for the “savoury” clue which Doughnuts gave, the star also featured in a Walkers Crisps advert in 1999 for his very own “Cheese and Owen” flavour.
