Drake is one of the most prolific artists of the 21st century, his debut studio album, Thank Me Later, was released in 2010 and reached number 1 in the US and Canada. Having been at the top of the music industry for over a decade many are wondering…has the star reached billionaire status yet?

Is Drake A Billionaire?

According to celebrity net worth.com, Drake is the sixth wealthiest rapper in the world. He sits behind household names such as Kanye West and Jay-Z, but is wealthier than Eminem and Snoop Dogg.

A key component to Drake’s success has been his hugely profitable album sales. Seven of the Canadian’s albums have reached double platinum status, meaning they have sold over two million copies.

His 2016 album, Views, has been his most commercially successful. The album includes iconic songs such as; Hotline Bling, One Dance and Pop Style. Views was the number one album in 2016 and has made 7.7 million sales.

Despite his hugely successful career, Drake has not achieved billionaire status.

The rapper’s net worth is estimated to be $250 million, however, this does not mean that Drake will never become a billionaire.

The Canadian is only 35 years old and earned $75 million in 2021 alone. Alongside his music career Drake has a number of business interests.

These include his own record label, Ovo Sound, and Virginia Black Whiskey.

Virginia Black has become a hugely profitable venture, selling a record of 1,779 bottles on the day of its release and 30,000 cases in its first year. Drake co-owns Virginia Black with American entrepreneur Brent Hocking, who sold DeLeón Tequila to Sean "Diddy" Combs in 2013.

Whilst Drake is not yet a billionaire, his music career is far from over and his business ventures will continue for years to come. There is little doubt that he’ll soon join Jay-Z and Kanye West in the billionaire rappers club.
