Eminem Restarts Feud With MGK As He Takes Shot In New Song

Eminem Restarts Feud With MGK As He Takes Shot In New Song

In new Dr Dre track 'Gospel', we hear Eminem rap about his beef with Machine Gun Kelly

It seems Eminem has restarted his feud with Machine Gun Kelly, with fans noticing a subtle dig in a new Dr Dre song

Dr Dre has been sharing a series of new tracks from GTA Online’s expansion The Contract, having collaborated with the likes of Anderson .Paak and Snoop Dogg.

In ‘Gospel’, we hear Eminem rap about his beef with Machine Gun Kelly, as he says: “Like clothes in between the two roll is a weight / Know, what I’m in is flow, interwoven, I treat ’em like thread / That’s how I wound up sewin’ machine up."

After hearing the song, many fans took to social media to note how Slim Shady was ‘once again dissing MGK’, with one writing: “It's official @Eminem is obsessed with @machinegunkelly another sneak diss he lives rent free in his head.”

Another tweeted: “I can't believe Eminem tried dissing Machine Gun Kelly and failed again.”

Analysing the lyrics in an annotation on Genius.com, user Dardan1807 explains: “In the line above Eminem starts a sewing wordplay theme with ‘puttin’ these h**s through the ringer’, which is followed by him telling us his flow is complex yet very regular, like interwoven fabric.

“He then says he treats them (rappers) like thread. Which could also mean he uses them in his fabric (flow) when he namedrops them, after this line he proves his own point with ‘that’s how I wound up sewin’ machine up’ where he keeps the wordplay going while also reminding us how he sewed Machine Gun Kelly’s mouth up, making it a double entendre.”

Elsewhere in the track, UFC star Nate Diaz also gets a quick shout-out with the lyric 'Nate Diaz got the world by the tracheas, in a chokehold and a sleeper'.

According to Essentially Sports, Diaz has 'always been an Eminem fan', having even walked out to 'The Way I Am' - a song from 2000 album The Marshall Mathers LP - for his fight against Jorge Masvidal.

The outlet also reports he was seen 'rocking out' to a Slim Shady song when he was 'preparing for his fight against Anthony Pettis'.

And Eminem is also a big fan of UFC, with his track 'Higher' featuring Dana White and ESPN presenter Michael Eaves in the video.
