Fast X will officially launch the franchise's epic finale and will bring together a star-studded cast that could make it the biggest movie-going experience yet.

While the saga has seen its fair share of terrifying villains, the 10th film will see Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and the crew go against the psychopathic Cipher (Charlize Theron), along with a new villain by the name of Dante Reyes (Jason Momoa).

And just to make things a little juicier, Dante is the son of the late drug lord Hernan Reyes, who is seeking revenge for his father's death.

If you haven’t had a chance to have a sneak peek yet, watch the trailer below.

Joining Diesel, Theron, and Momoa will be a string of familiar faces, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Jordana Brewster and John Cena.

However, we’ll also see the return of some A-listers in the Fast universe, including none other than the queen herself, Helen Mirren, Jason Statham and Scott Eastwood.

Also joining the cast is Academy Award winner and Hollywood legend Rita Moreno as Dom and Mia’s Abuelita Toretto and Academy Award winner Brie Larson as Tess, the daughter of Mr. Nobody and a rogue agent of his Covert Operations Organisation.

French filmmaker Louis Leterrier replaced Justin Lin as Fast X's director - who also helmed all the franchise's movies between The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and Fast & Furious 6, as well as F9.

And it looks like we’re in good hands folks, as Leterrier has worked on The Transporter, The Transporter 2, The Incredible Hulk, Now You See Me, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance and Lupin.

While speaking with Empire, the filmmaker teased what’s in store for the upcoming film and hinted that not all of our beloved characters will make it.

He told the outlet: “There's a war brewing. It's coming to an end, and it is a race to the finish. There will be some tremendous casualties.

“This one is big. I don't want to oversell it, but what we're planning on the next one is just gigantic, in terms of action, scope and emotion.

"You will feel all the feels. Tears will roll.”

So, have the tissues nearby with your large popcorn, as this extravaganza is guaranteed to pull at the heartstrings as well as get your blood pumping.

Fast X races into cinemas on May 18.
