Ryan Reynolds has been a rather popular figure in film and on Twitter for quite a while now but ever since he starred in Deadpool earlier this year he's shot himself into mega stardom.

We're already excited for the sequel to Marvel's first-of-its-kind superhero movie and, to add even more anticipation to the movements of the antihero, Reynolds has now said that he wants to team up with Hugh Jackman to create a Deadpool and Wolverine crossover.

Although Jackman has already waved goodbye to the iconic character that he played in a number of X-Men films, as well as standalone movies, Reynolds reckons he can get the Aussie on board.

"What we're gonna have to do is convince Hugh," Reynolds told Entertainment Weekly. "If anything, I'm going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line.

"Part of the reason I want to do a Deadpool/Wolverine movie is not just because I think the two would light the screen on fire, but [because] I genuinely love the guy."

To be completely honest, I can't imagine too many people are against this idea. Reynolds' Twitter faithful will certainly be willing to get behind the concept.

Jackman's penciled final performance as Wolverine will be in the film Logan, which is due to be released in February 2017. Reynolds is due to return in a Deadpool sequel in 2018.
