Everything You Need To Know About The New Series Of 'Prison Break'

This looks incredible.

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS.

Can you believe it's been eight years since the last new episode of Prison Break aired? Unbelievably, it was May 15, 2009.

MySpace was the biggest social network in the world, Barack Obama became the first ever African-American US president and a 17-year-old Neymar made his professional debut for Real Madrid.

It was a different time.

Now, Prison Break is back for a fifth season. Sadly, we've got a spoiler before we've even started as we know that Wentworth Miller is reprising his role of Michael. So that means that he faked his death at the end of season four.

The Burrows brothers are reunited in the new series, and they're back behind bars.

This trailer has dropped and it looks like it was worth the wait...

Fox TV boss Dana Walden spoke about the new series a while back, saying: "I would describe it as a bit of a sequel. It picks up with the characters several years after we left them in the show.

"There will be a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world."

So what do we know so far?

It's set seven years after the last season

This ties in pretty well with how long it's been since the last episode - so fair enough.

There's nine episodes

This is pretty weird as season one and two had 22 episodes, three had 13 and four had 24.

As well as the Burrows brothers, there's also Sucre, T-Bag, Sara Tancredi, Paul Kellerman, Whip and C-Note.

When you can watch it

Well, sadly the show launches earlier in the US than over here. They get it on Tuesday April 4, while us Brits have to wait until Monday April 10 at 9pm.

You can catch it every week on Fox UK - which is available on Sky (channel 124), and Virgin (channel 157).

Fox UK is also available through NOW TV.
