If you were on Pointless and you were asked to name the most influential actors of all time, all three of these names would be high scorers.
Michael Caine (84 years old), Morgan Freeman (79 years old) and Alan Arkin (83 years old) are currently promoting their new movie, Going Out In Style. The film, directed by Scrubs' Zach Braff, follows the story of three pensioners who, when they find out that their pensions have been cancelled, decide to rob a bank. Because, well, why not?! Apart from the obvious legal implications, but as Morgan himself would say...
They recently sat with Wired for an interview where they answer the top Google 'autocompleted' questions that the public are dying to know.
May I say, this is a fantastic idea for an interview and whoever came up with it needs a raise. Getting the public to come up with the questions they most want the answers to? Genius.
Anyway, the trio answer questions such as 'Does Michael Caine have a son?' - he doesn't. He has two daughters and a grandson. Morgan Freeman is asked if he has blue eyes, to which he responds that he has a blue ring around them. That's pretty cool.
The three of them seem to be really good mates. It's nice to see. Although Alan Arkin and Morgan Freeman do seem to take the piss out of Michael Caine a little bit for his really long answers to questions. In fact, at one point they tell him that he should keep his answers short. Does he? Does he balls.
It kind of reminds me of Grandpa Simpson...
