Throwing Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman together in an erotic thriller is a pretty unusual mix - but that's exactly why everyone wants to watch it.

No one is questioning the acting abilities of the Wednesday star, 21, or The Hobbit protagonist, 52, however, there has been a bit of debate surrounding the movie's controversial plot.

Brits have been left divided by the trailer for Miller’s Girl, as some viewers were left downright disturbed while others were more intrigued to watch it after getting a sneak peek at the film.

Take a look at it for yourself here:

As you can see, Ortega and Freeman have both been forced to step out of their usual realms to play two compelling characters that completely cross the boundaries of a close student-teacher relationship.

The official synopsis for the movie directed by Jade Halley Bartlett reads: "A talented young writer (Ortega) embarks on a creative odyssey when her teacher (Freeman) assigns a project that entangles them both in an increasingly complex web.

"As lines blur and their lives intertwine, professor and protégé must confront their darkest selves while straining to preserve their individual sense of purpose and the things they hold most dear."

Long story short, Mr Jonathan Miller strikes up a super complicated relationship with his student Cairo Sweet (who secretly idolises him) after she joins his creative writing class and it results in his job ending up on the line.

There are a few steamy scenes between Jenna Ortega and Martin Freeman in the film.

Miller’s Girl hit the cinemas in the US on 26 January and film fans already have a lot of opinions about it, especially regarding the several steamy scenes which feature in the seductive drama.

Many viewers have said the new flick has made them look at former child star Ortega and Sherlock legend Freeman in a different light, although we're not sure if that's a good or bad thing yet.

All the online chatter about Miller’s Girl has obviously piqued the interest of UK movie lovers who are desperate to find out when they will finally get to watch it - and no doubt share their candid review of it on social media.

One person wrote in a post on X: "I want to watch Miller’s Girl why is it not anywhere in the UK at all?!"

Another fumed: "Still no UK release date for Miller’s Girl."

UK viewers want to know how they can watch Miller's Girl.

A third added: "I can’t wait for Miller’s Girl to come out in the UK. From the sounds of it, it’s Jenna’s best performance yet."

So, where can the Great British public watch Miller’s Girl?

The good news is, there isn't that much longer to wait for its release on Amazon Prime.

The film is dropping on the streaming platform on 19 February, so make sure you clear your diaries and that your ready to dish out what you really think of Miller’s Girl.

Following its US release and premiere at Palm Springs Film Festival earlier in January, the movie has a Rotten Tomatoes' critic rating of just 33 percent - so the jury's apparently still out on whether it's any good or not.
