This is what all Marvel fans (and Ryan Reynolds) have been waiting for, Hugh Jackman is set to make a cameo in Avengers: Endgame, according to Google anyway.
It was brought to everyone's attention by FandomWire that if you search 'Famous Hugh Jackman Movies' on Google, of course it comes up with Wolverine, Les Misérables, X-Men and The Greatest Showman but, it shows Avengers: Endgame (2019).
Now, this could all be a bit of a glitch with the search engine, or it could be a huge spoiler.
Jackman said he was done after the 2017 hit Logan but he might be picking up his ripped vest and adamantium claws one last time - or he could be in it and doing a sort of Stan Lee-stand-in cameo i.e not as a superhero.
Although Disney owns Marvel, the X-Men family of films belong to Fox and the Disney-buying-out-Fox deal isn't actually complete yet, the deal isn't set to be finalised until the early months of 2019 and Avengers: Endgame finished production earlier this year.
Consequently, this means X-Men characters can't officially feature in the Disney/Marvel films - so, it's looking pretty unlikely that Jackman will be playing Wolverine.
There is a theory that Jackman could feature in the legendary post-credit scene as Wolverine as a way of introducing the X-Men to the MCU - however, if Ryan Reynolds can't get him to comb his mutton-chops back in time it looks unlikely again.
The Deadpool actor has been dying to get Jackman to star alongside him in one of his R-rated films, but so far all the advances have been rebuffed.
Although, the trolling narrative between the two in the process of it all has been more than enough to tide fans over and make us fall in love with the pair's bromance.
The hilarious friendship between them may have just started as Reynolds' way of trying to get Jackman back in the the mutant game, but as they documented around Christmas, on Instagram, the love is truly there.
Who knows, if Jackman is set to have a cameo in the next Avengers film it may leave hope of seeing Deadpool and Wolverine on screen together, finally.
