After months of teasing, it looks like we don't have long to wait until we get to see celebrity foodies Gordon Ramsay, Gino D'Acampo and Fred Sirieix on their latest LADs' trip - and this time they're headed to the US.

ITV confirmed on Twitter that Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip will soon be back on our screens for season two, with a picture of them embracing in a huge hug outside of their motor home as they met up for filming.

Good news for all of those who managed to catch the first season of the show, which had viewers in stitches as our hosts travelled through Italy, France and Scotland to introduce each other to their home turf and compete to source the finest ingredients.

It made for a hilarious spin on the usual cookery show format, as the three found themselves in some rather unusual predicaments while living in such close quarters - including the time Gordon decided to wake up Gino with his penis. Yes, that happened.

The show proved so popular that when the network approached Gordon, Gino and Fred for another road trip, the trio jumped at the chance.

The Sun reported that an ITV source said: "Gordon, Gino and Fred had a whale of a time filming the first series so were delighted when ITV said it wanted another.

"This time they are off to America and it's a week longer so there will be more mischief. All three are brimming with ideas and practical jokes."

You can expect plenty more hilarious antics when the second season rolls around, especially now that all three of them will be out of their comfort zones and in an entirely new country.

Fans were equally delighted at the news that we don't have long to wait until the next instalment hits ITV, with one commenting: "Loved the last series. Welcome back boys."

Another wrote: "Can't wait, the last one was awesome and hilarious," while a third added: "They were funny as before, like watching Clarkson, May and Hammond."

And if you're wondering when we'll get to see them bulldoze their way through America... well, we don't have a guaranteed answer. In a now-deleted post, however, ITV replied to one fan to say the series would be back on our screens 'in the next few weeks'. So perhaps it might be even sooner than we expected.

Popcorn at the ready - it's nearly time to join the boys for a trip to the US of A.
