It won't be the same if this goes ahead.

Of all the reality TV shows, I have to say, I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! is the only one worth watching. Any show where you can see an ex-cricket ace or a former soap star eat a kangaroo bollock is fine by me.

We all know the format; a bunch of celebrities (at least three you've never heard of) are parachuted into a jungle where they have to perform a series of horrible challenges to win food, while Ant and Dec look on laughing and taking the piss. TV gold.

However, all of that could be about to change, because the Aussie government are pushing for the show to be relocated to Kangaroo Island when its current contract runs out in two years' time.

According to the Mirror, the show could move from its current home in Springbrook National Park in New South Wales to the island which is located 35 minutes away from Adelaide and features pretty beaches and a whole host of new, disgusting insects for contestants to eat.

Agent general Bill Muirhead wrote a letter to ITV boss Kevin Lygo in which he said: "With a third of the island covered by national parks, Kangaroo Island is teeming with creatures not found anywhere else, most of which we're more than happy for people to eat on TV."

That last bit is a killer.

Aussie officials hope the new location would give a tourist boost to the south of the country, as well as giving the celebrities fresh challenges.

The letter ends: "Looking forward to 2020, could it be time for a change? I ask you to consider Kangaroo Island, a place pulsating with all the wonder and weirdness Australia has to offer, an island with a name that seems straight out of a story of buccaneers and bushrangers."

Kangaroo Island is Australia's third largest island and is home to all kinds of animals, including wallabies, possums, seals and, as the name suggests, kangaroos - not to mention loads of creepy crawlies.
