New Pictures Are Released Of Disney's 'Star Wars Land'

Disney has been very clever and secretive about plans for its Florida and California Star Wars Land venture.
Since Disney bought the franchise from Lucasfilm in 2012 for $4bn (£3.25bn), the park has been a big talking point.
It may not be due to open until 2019, but images released of the design models show how epic it's going to be - so epic, it'll make Harry Potter World look like your local carnival in the council car park.
Disney unveiled the scale model preview at the D23 Expo, a fan convention, at the Anaheim Convention Centre, California. In a blog-post, Disney also revealed a first-look video and images of the 50-foot wide 3D model.

The two sites span 14 acres and will cost around $1bn to create.
The blog read: "Both Star Wars-inspired lands will transport guests to a never before-seen planet, a remote trading port and one of the last stops before Wild Space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life."

Previously, images had been released of some aspects of the park. We've been made aware that you'll have a chance to pilot the Millennium Falcon, work for either the Resistance or the First Order, as well as play with droids and lightsabers.
The new pictures show us that there'll be the signature dome homes and terracotta architecture synonymous with the films.

Twitter user, Rappler, also added videos of the models, giving us a closer look.
The park will be set on a new Outer Rim planet, although it's unclear what it will be called.
Disney Parks blog said: "The remote village was once a busy crossroads along the sub-lightspeed trade routes, but the prominence of the outpost has been bypassed with the rise of hyperspace travel.
"Now home to those who prefer less attention, it has become a thriving port for smugglers, rogue traders and adventurer's travelling between the frontier and unchartered space. It's also a convenient safe-haven for others intent on avoiding the expanding reach of the First Order."
The park is at least 18 months from completion, but if you can't wait that long - then the eighth saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, is due to be released in December 2017.
