Jonah Hill 'In Talks' To Play The Villain In Latest Batman Movie

When Robert Pattinson was announced as the next actor to become the Caped Crusader, many people were intrigued and surprised.
His detractors thought the Twilight actor could never live up to the same calibre set by the likes of Christian Bale and Michael Keaton in their various Batman franchises.
But the latest instalment could be about to cast an even more unlikely name: Jonah Hill.

The 21 Jump Street funnyman is reportedly 'in talks' to become the villain of the movie, according to Deadline.
The publication says 'deals aren't signed yet, but that's what we are hearing at this minute'.
News of the potential casting has resulted in loads of people trying to guess what Hill could appear as in the reboot franchise.
Some fans are suggesting he take on the Penguin, also known as Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, while others reckon he could portray Gotham's other villains like Clayface and the Riddler.
At the same time, The Hollywood Reporter says Westworld star Jeffrey Wright is in negotiations to play Commissioner Gordon. That would be a pretty decent line up and would be a very different take than the one headed by Ben Affleck.
But if any of these three castings surprised you then you must not have heard Nicki Minaj throwing her hat in the ring to be considered for Catwoman.
The 'Super Bass' rapper took to Twitter to proclaim that she could be purrfect for the role.
Latest rumours suggest that Catwoman will be one of six or seven villains that would face Bruce in the next instalment of the Batfranchise.
There hasn't been a lack of high-profile names thrown into the ring with Kristen Stewart, Vanessa Hudgens and Aubrey Plaza named so far, mainly by fans. Despite the intense speculation, Warner Bros. are keeping tight lipped about who will play the role of Selina Kyle.

One of Nicki Minaj's fans took to Twitter to suggest that she would be great for the role and she was quick to reply with: "I'm ready. Ha!"
Now we're not saying that the hasty response is her officially applying to don the PVC suit, but we wouldn't blame her for wanting the highly coveted role.
Previously Anne Hathaway had a stab (or slash) at playing the saucy villain in The Dark Knight Rises and Michelle Pfeiffer clawed her way into Batman Returns.
Could Nicki Minaj be the Catwoman we've all been waiting for?
