No one likes a spoiler and it's widely accepted that anyone who shares spoilers is a dick.

However, fans of the Avengers in Hong Kong have taken it a step too far after a man was left bloodied and beaten after shouting out plot details outside a cinema. Definitely too harsh.

According to Deadline, the unidentified man was seen yelling out spoilers but was then set upon by angry fans who weren't best pleased about having the Marvel movie spoilt for them.

The incident happened in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, Asia One reports. The news site also shared photos of a man wearing a white shirt and bleeding from his head.

Just hours after it was released the hashtag #DontSpoilTheEndgame started to trend on Twitter, with some Marvel fans swearing to stay off social media until they'd had a chance to see the film and others muting everything superhero related.

The film's creators Joe and Anthony Russo were also keen to discourage people from sharing spoilers about the latest movie, so much so they even shared a letter to fans which read: "To the greatest fans in the world, this is it. This is the end. The end of an unprecedented narrative mosaic spanning eleven years and eleven franchises.

"For all of you who have been on this journey with us since the very beginning, sharing every high and low with your family, your friends, your classmates, your co-workers. Investing so deeply in every character and story-line. Laughing. Cheering. Shedding tears.

"Giving so freely of your thoughts and emotions in spirited dialogue, theories, fan art, and fan fiction. Please know that the two of us, along with everyone involved in Endgame, have worked tirelessly for the last three years with the sole intention of delivering a surprising and emotionally powerful conclusion to the Infinity Saga.

"Because so many of you have invested your time, your hearts, and your souls into these stories, we're once again asking for your help.

"When you see Endgame in the coming weeks, please don't spoil it for other, the same way you wouldn't want it spoiled for you.

"Remember, Thanos still demands your silence. As always, good luck and happy viewing..."

You heard them, no sharing of spoilers, please.
