There're no spoilers in the statement that the new Netflix show, The Haunting of Hill House, is scary AF - it's filled with moments that are guaranteed to make you jump and with a rating of 90 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes, we know it's a show we'll all be obsessed with soon enough, if we're not already.

But it seems even the most scare-obsessed fans of the show have missed some moments, that once Netflix points them out will never leave you.

The streaming service recently released a clip from the series that is truly chilling once you click on to what's going on.

In the video, your focused is pulled to the stairs and all the time you're waiting for something to pop up or out of the shadows and give you a fright. But while your eyes are cast towards the clear background of the scene, you really should be looking at the blurry statue in the foreground.

If you watch carefully, you can see the statue slowly turn her head before looking down the camera at the audience - the entire thing is so subtle it's a whole new level of chilling and it'll definitely leave you taking a second glance at statues as you pass them by.

The Haunting of Hill House - which was originally written by Shirley Jackson in 1959 - has loads of these little moments that just add to the whole thing being one of Netflix's most successful original series to date - audience have been raving about it and even Stephen king thinks it's amazing. You know something is terrifying on a whole other level if the king of horror calls it 'close to a work of genius'.

The man who is behind some of the scariest works of fiction - with titles including The Shining, IT and Carrie - clearly really took a shine to the new show when he tweeted out: "THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, revised and remodeled by Mike Flanagan. I don't usually care for this kind of revisionism, but this is great. Close to a work of genius, really. I think Shirley Jackson would approve, but who knows for sure."

If you haven't seen it yet (and why not?) the show follows the story of five siblings in the Crane family, each of whom are dealing with repressed trauma, family anguish and PTSD following their childhoods growing up in the super creepy Hill House.

To be fair it was pretty much guaranteed to be a good scare with a director like Mike Flanagan - the filmmaker behind Gerald's Game, Oculus and Hush - directing all 10 episodes.
