Good news horror fans, Vera Farmiga has confirmed that The Conjuring 3 is in production.

Farmiga shared a photo of her and co-star Patrick Wilson with the caption: "Happy first day Conjuring 3, Mr Warren, my PWilz."

She will be reprising her role as supernatural investigator Lorraine Warren, while Wilson is back as her husband Ed in the latest instalment of the movie franchise.

The third Annabelle movie has gone into production.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly while filming Annabelle Comes Home, Farmiga promised that third Conjuring movie will be 'massive'.

"Conjuring 3 is coming, and it will be a doozy," she revealed. "It will be big. So, for me, visiting these characters, it's like practising your scales and doing a few arpeggios before having to dive deep into the next one. Because the next one is massive."

The film is slated to hit cinemas on 11 September 2020, but if you can't possibly wait that long for your supernatural horror fix Annabelle Comes Home is released on 26 June.

If the trailer is anything to go by this movie will be as just as creepy as others within the Conjuring franchise, which includes The Nun, Annabelle and Annabelle Creation.

An official synopsis for Annabelle Comes Home reads: "Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artefacts room in their home, placing her 'safely' behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest's holy blessing.

"But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target-the Warrens' ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends."

Talking to the news outlet about working with her co-star once again, she said: "Of course, any day to pal around with this guy and goof around on set is a good day for me."

While adding: "And I do love playing this character, I really do. I do. This is a woman who is living her potential. To be honest with you, in this climate of dissension and rancour and division, I love exhibiting their unity and their closeness and their togetherness. It's something special for me."

And it's a good job she enjoys playing her, with at least one more sequel on the way, eh?
