You might have heard the rumours that Holly Willoughby is poised to step into Ant McPartlin's shoes to present I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here while he's in rehab. Well, sadly, it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Rumours were rife on social media that the This Morning presenter would be taking Ant's place, while he battles with drink and drugs problems, but a representative for Holly told the Sun the rumours were 'absolute nonsense'.

According to the Daily Star, Holly was top choice for the gig by I'm A Celebrity bosses.

A source close to the show revealed: "I'm a Celeb is ITV's biggest show of the year so they're keen to get a plan in place should Ant want to continue his down time.

"Holly is the number one choice, she's the nation's favourite and already a huge fan of the show - the perfect Jane of the jungle to Dec's Tarzan.

"Building on-screen chemistry and relationships is what Holly does best, which is perfect for the jungle."

Ant and Dec usually bugger off to Australia for six weeks to film the popular show from November, but ITV has reportedly given Ant a year off from presenting.

The source went on: "Holly's the perfect cover for Ant. She's wholesome, fun and has the experience needed to pull-off the comedy links expected of the presenters.

"That's something which upcoming stars like Scarlett and Mark don't have yet. It's ITV's blue chip show and there's no way they'd risk handing Ant's role to a wild- card signing."

However, it now looks unlikely that Holly will be going Down Under, which is a shame, because I think Dec and Holly would be amazing.

The Daily Star said Holly isn't the only presenter in the running, with Keith Lemon, Mark Wright and Caroline Flack also being considered. Last year's Jungle Queen, Scarlett Moffatt is another possible presenter, the paper reports.

The Geordie duo have presented I'm A Celebrity since 2002 and are widely reported to be tied into a three-year deal with ITV worth an eye-watering £30million. Not bad.
