While we know a Kingsman film to round of the story of Gary 'Eggsy' Unwin and Harry Hart is in the works, details have been thin on the ground. The next movie in the franchise - The King's Man which is due out next year - is a prequel set long before the events of the first two movies.

But now Taron Egerton has now thrown us a bone after revealing there's a script for the forthcoming movie - and he's promised us that the premise is 'really neat'.

Speaking at a panel discussion during ACE Comic-Con Midwest this weekend, Egerton confirmed the script does, indeed, exist, as reported by comicbook.com.

He said: "I'm really not allowed to say anything, but there is a script."

Egerton continued: "It's a really neat idea. That plan, at the moment, is that we'd like to do another one, one more time."

Egerton also told fans he has a huge soft spot for the role of Eggsy, and because of his history with the Kingsman franchise he'd love to return to the character one last time to bid farewell.

He said: "It was the role that kind of started my film career so I'm always going to feel, you know, a great fondness for the part.

"I would like to do one more because frankly, I'd like to say goodbye to him [Eggsy] in a befitting way and to finish the trilogy. All good things come to an end. It was always imagined as a trilogy and I think it'd be great to finish the story off because I've loved playing the character."

Earlier this year, director Matthew Vaughn said the third movie would serve as a proper ending to the story about Eggsy and Harry.

Speaking to Digital Spy, he said: "We've got to finish off the Eggsy and Harry relationship. The final chapter of their relationship needs to be told, which we've got ready to do, and I'm hoping to shoot that later this year or the beginning of next year."

He added: "It's funny. As Taron was saying, he's looking forward to becoming Eggsy again, because emotionally it's a lot less draining."

Confusingly the third movie in the trilogy will be released after The King's Man, the prequel due out next year, which won't feature Egerton.

The King's Man is due to hit cinemas on 14 February 2020.
