Boxing movie fans, the waiting is finally over. The trailer for Creed II is finally here.

The trailer gives fans of the movies their first look at Ivan Drago Jr, whose dad, Ivan Drago Sr. (duh) fought and killed Adonis Creed's dad Apollo back in 1985's Rocky IV.

After the huge success of the first Creed film, which saw Adonis Creed - played by the excellent Michael B. Jordan - join forces with Rocky Balboa, who is of course played by Sylvester Stallone, to train to fight and eventually win a title shot against Ricky Conlan (Tony Bellew).

The trailer follows the first poster and synopsis for the film, which were both unveiled yesterday. The trailer is pretty simple, but shows Michael B. Jordan looking ripped as hell and ready to presumably fight to claim that first world title.

Warner Brothers

The official synopsis from MGM and Warner Brothers reads: "Life has become a balancing act for Adonis Creed. Between personal obligations and training for his next big fight, he is up against the challenge of his life.

"Facing an opponent with ties to his family's past only intensifies his impending battle in the ring. Rocky Balboa is there by his side through it all and, together, Rocky and Adonis will confront their shared legacy, question what's worth fighting for, and discover that nothing's more important than family.

"Creed II is about going back to basics to rediscover what made you a champion in the first place, and remembering that, no matter where you go, you can't escape your history."

Of course, this poster is not the first look we've had, merely the first official poster. Months ago, Sly Stallone posted an image that showed Jordan and himself in split screen with Ivan Drago Jr. and Sr.

Drago Jr is to be played by Romanian heavyweight boxer Florian Munteanu. Of course, Drago Sr. will be played by the returning Dolph Lundgren.

Sly also let slip to TMZ Sports that he will throw hands against his old adversary once again. He said: "It wouldn't be a party without Drago, would it? I'm gonna punch him. You know I gotta hit Drago once."

It looks as if there could be some boxing royalty involved in the film as well. Michael Buffer is almost certain to appear, as could names like Evander Holyfield, former light heavyweight champion Andre Ward.

We'll have to wait and see, but they did a bit of filming during the Joshua/Parker fight at Cardiff's Principality Stadium the other week, turning the crowd into extras by calling out various names and having them react.

Whatever the cast, if it's anything like the first film, we should be very excited.

Creed II will be out in cinemas on 21 November.
