Holly Willoughby Was In An S Club 7 Film Way Before She Was Famous

Way back in 2000, long before she became best mates with Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby starred in an S Club 7 and it's so cringe-inducing it's amazing.

Holly would have been around 18 or 19 at the time, and, like her character, was actually a lingerie model. Although, as far as I'm aware she never went out with Paul Cattermole.

She played a character called Zoe in S Club 7: Artistic Differences; poor Zoe ends up heartbroken when Paul bins her off at the end. So sad...

Holly won the part in the movie after appearing in a CITV series S Club TV, which saw a bunch of teens hosting a spin-off show, inspired by the band.

This was far her first go in front of the camera, though. Holly was spotted by a model scout aged just 14, Holly went on to become the face, and boobs, of Pretty Polly lingerie.

From here she made the switch to children's television presenting, and she was paired with Stephen Mulhern on the Ministry of Mayhem, which was peak Saturday morning kids' telly.

I miss Saturday morning children's telly, mainly because it was absolutely batshit - nothing captures that as much as this clip from a segment of the show called Cakey Sk8.

I've got no words for this, really, but it involves Holly (calling herself Polly) dressed in a French maid's outfit, doing what I think is supposed to be a cockney accent, launching a cake off a skateboard into some pictures of 'celebrities'.

What the fuck was that? What did we just watch? But at the same time, good, wasn't it?

Holly won a BAFTA for this show and it was also while working there that she met Dan Baldwin, who was one of the show's producers, and would later become the luckiest man in the world her husband.

Holly's on-screen charm and likability meant that it wasn't long before ITV wanted to move her to prime time and she began presenting Dancing On Ice, Xtra Factor, Surprise, Surprise and, best of all, became a regular contestant on Celebrity Juice alongside her pal Fearne Cotton.

I can't mention Celebrity Juice without mentioning the Halloween special where she rocked up drunk dressed as Harley Quinn.

Shortly after admitting that she was a bit pissed, Keith Lemon turned to her and said: "You look fit as fuck. Why don't you just wear that on This Morning? Philip Schofield will have a fucking heart attack." Most likely true.

Which brings me on nicely to her on-going presenting gig on This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield.

The friendship these two have is amazing, remember the time they got absolutely trashed at the National Television Awards and turned up hungover still drunk, wearing last night's clothes after winning an award?

The pair of seem to just spend most of their days laughing uncontrollably on that sofa.

If they're not breaking down over the 'world's biggest penis', they'll be losing their shit over a member of team accidentally sending a text to the wrong person.

Happy birthday, Holly!
