Earlier this week we got to see the second full trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, and since then it's fair to say that excitement has been brewing.

But Spidey fans at Disneyland got more than they had bargained for this week, as they got to meet the man behind the mask, Tom Holland.

Footage has been released showing fans enjoying a nice day out and posing for pictures with a man they thought was a theme park employee, paid to dress up as the webslinger.

So imagine their surprise when the mystery man ripped off his mask, to reveal it was actually the British actor.

Fans have been sharing photos and videos of the incredible moment.

One person posted a clip of Holland saying hello to fans and high-fiving people in the crowd, including a toddler dressed up as Spidey.

The caption read: "So freakin cool #tomholland #SpiderManFarFromHome #SpiderMan."

She added later: "My kid just high fived Tom Holland you guys!!!!"

Another wrote: "I JUST SAW TOM HOLLAND AT DISNEYLAND!!!!!"

A third excited fan put: "Tom Holland is in Disneyland with the SPIDER-MAN SUIT ON?!?!?!?!?!"

But the 22-year-old actor hadn't come alone.

Jake Gyllenhaal (who plays Mysterio), Zendaya (MJ Watson) and Jacob Batalon (Peter Parker's schoolfriend Ned Leeds) joined him to surprise fans.

Posting a picture of the group, one person wrote: "Tom Holland is in his Spider-Man suit at Disneyland with the cast of #SpiderManFarFromHome!"

Far From Home marks the final part of Marvel Studios' Phase Three and is set right after the end of Avengers: Endgame.

To help avoid any disappointment, at the beginning of the clip. Peter Parker himself warns fans who still haven't seen Endgame not to carry on watching - there are some pretty big SPOILERS for the latest Avengers outing here - and indeed in the remainder of this article - so maybe don't click play or carry on reading if you're not up to speed.

The trailer kicks off with a distraught Parker mourning the loss of his friend and hero, Iron Man, who sacrificed himself to save the universe in the previous film.

It then cuts to Spidey kicking some criminal arse, before a cop asks him: "Are you gonna be the next Iron Man now?"

But after all the eventful scenes in Endgame, Parker decides to go on a little holiday to Europe. However, it isn't long until he's tracked down by S.H.I.E.L.D. boss Nick Fury, who pairs up the teen with Mysterio, played by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Over the course of the trailer, the partnership seems to sour somewhat as Mysterio's true motives begin to unravel.

The question fans are left with at the end is whether will Spider-Man step up as Stark did - or does he have his own point to prove? Guess we'll have to wait to see.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is due for UK release on 5 July.
