The official trailer for an upcoming Bruce Springsteen biopic has been released today (18 June), and fans have wasted no time in offering up their reactions to the casting.

Fans on social media were wowed by the shots depicting the singer's life, but they were even more over the moon when it came to the star-studded cast for the flick, titled Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere.

While there's over four months until its cinema release date on 24 October, fans will no doubt be counting down the days to view the film's take on one of the most successful and critically acclaimed artists of all time.

Springsteen is responsible for creating the 23rd best-selling album of all time, Born in the U.S.A, which was released in 1984, and has sold over 140 million records worldwide as of 2024.

The legendary singer himself is still touring and performing, so the film isn't like a normal biopic where it'll cover the artist's entire life, instead focusing on a specific period of Springsteen's career.

You can view the trailer for Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere here:

The movie will focus on Springsteen as he creates his sixth album Nebraska, which came out in 1982, and was widely believed to be the artist's most personal record.

Recorded in the rockstar's New Jersey bedroom, the album would go platinum, catapulting him to superstardom.

As for who is taking on the role, Jeremy Allen White has been cast as Springsteen. Meanwhile, Stephen Graham has been cast as his father, Douglas, appearing in black-and-white flashbacks.

Elsewhere among the cast is Jeremy Strong, Odessa Young, Gaby Hoffmann and Paul Walter Hauser.

Taking to Reddit, numerous fans couldn't hide their excitement for the big names involved in the project, with one typing: "Jeremy Strong AND Stephen Graham in the same movie?"

Another added: "These two are the best in the business right now. Can't wait!"

A third wrote: "Jeremy Allen White may be in the mix for Best Actor at the Oscars AND Emmys next year depending on how good The Bear Season 4 is."

In response to the suggestion, a different user pointed out: "If Stephen Graham’s role as the dad is meaty he could contend for this and Adolescence at the same time too."

But not everyone was a fan, as someone critiqued: "Just how many of the cast of The Bear are in this lol - not that i'm against it," with someone else admitting: "Not a fan of the casting, but that's not what put me off the trailer."
