Thousands of fans joined virtual queues when tickets for Dune: Part Three went on sale this morning (Tuesday, October 20).
The film's IMAX 70mm release will be limited to just three cinemas across the UK: BFI IMAX (London), The Ronson Theatre at the Science Museum (London) and Vue Manchester Printworks (Manchester).
It's one of the most anticipated films of the year, and IMAX 70mm showings are expected to sell out alarmingly fast.
In fact, an early screening of the film in IMAX sold out in less than 30 minutes last month.

A user on X took to the social media platform alleging that there had been 'at least 65,000 people in the BFI queue for Dune 3 IMAX 70mm tickets within the first minute.'
Meanwhile, others celebrated securing highly coveted tickets for the IMAX screening after waiting in the queue all morning.

The enthusiasm follows the huge success of Dune: Part Two, which grossed $32.2 million globally from IMAX screens in 2024. Both previous films were massive hits, leaving expectations high for the third instalment.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the sci-fi epic is based on Frank Herbert's novels, and is widely expected to conclude the trilogy.
Set nearly two decades after the events of the previous film, Dune: Part Three will adapt Dune Messiah, Herbert's 1969 sequel novel.
