Emma Watson has opened up about a 'crush' on a Harry Potter co-star, after fans have been hoping for the pair to become an item for years.
There are loads of TikTok trends about 'do you fancy them, or are they just your co-worker?' with people talking about proximity causing romantic feelings even if they're unsuitable.
After all, you spend a lot of time with them, day in, day out.
That was certainly the case for Hermione Granger actress Emma, who was just 10-years-old at the start of filming the franchise.

Who can forget their first crush?! At least most of us don't have to deal with it in the public eye.
The star went viral back in 2019 when she said she was 'self-partnered' when Vogue asked about her relationship status, saying: "It took me a long time, but I’m very happy [being single]. I call it being self-partnered."

She previously admitted to having a 'crush' on Draco actor Tom Felton when the two first started working together, and many people have written some seriously dodgy Hermione and Draco fan fiction over the years.
However, many viewers and readers have long hoped that the pair will get together in real life, too.

Now, Emma has written a foreword for Felton's new memoir Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard, where she says even thinking about their connection 'makes me emotional.'
She jokes about how determined everyone is that they should be an item: "Like Tom, I always struggle to explain to people the nature of our connection and relationship," she wrote.
"For more than twenty years now, we've loved each other in a special way, and I've lost count of the times that people have said to me, 'You must have drunkenly made out, just once!' 'You must have kissed!' 'There must be something!'"

"But what we have is far deeper than that," Watson added. "It's one of the purest loves I can think of. We're soulmates, and we've always had each other's backs. I know we always will."

"Sometimes it feels hard to live in a world where people are so quick to judge, to doubt, to question intentions. Tom doesn't do that," Emma continues in the sweet statement.
"I know that, even if I've made a mistake, he'll understand that my intention was good," she wrote.
"I know that he'll always believe me. Even when he doesn't have the whole picture, he'll never doubt that I'm coming from a good place and will have done my very best. That's true friendship, and to be seen and loved like that is one of the greatest gifts of my life."
In the book, Draco actor Felton confessed: "I've always had a secret love for Emma, though not perhaps in the way that people might want to hear."
"That isn't to say there's never been a spark between us. There most definitely has, only at different times," he teased.

"I don't think I was ever in love with Emma, but I loved and admired her as a person in a way that I could never explain to anybody else," he added.
It seems fans will just have to keep dreaming and writing those stories.
Emma has since clarified her 'self-partnered' comments, telling Teen Vogue: "In the run-up to my 30s, [I felt] this incredible, sudden anxiety and pressure that I had to be married or have a baby or [be] moving into a house."
"There was no word for this kind of subliminal messaging and anxiety and pressure that I felt building up but couldn't really name, so I used the word self-partnered."

Now that we know she and Tom aren't an item (booo!), fans are still eager to know about her love life.
Speaking on a podcast, she told Jay Shetty: "I’m just so happy not to be divorced yet."
"That sounds like a really negative answer but I think we’re being pressured and forced into this thing that I believe is a kind or miracle. I might never be worthy of it.
"I hope it happens to me but I don’t feel entitled to it. It will either be part of purpose here and my destiny or it won’t," she added.
"I think the way we treat it [marriage] as though ‘why haven’t you’ and ‘this is something that has to happen in this certain timespan is the least romantic thing I can think of."
"I tried to be clear with myself what it was I was really looking for and what I want, I really want to be with someone I can learn from and I hope has the humility to be able to learn from me.
"I guess my big hope or wish would be that I met someone who feels that what I’m here to do in the world is important to them too."
