A Harry Potter actor has been diagnosed with a ‘life-threatening condition’ and is now ‘struggling to walk or talk’.
Nick Moran played Scabior, the wizard and snatcher in the final two films; Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 and 2.
The Londoner is also well known for playing Eddie in the 1998 neo-noir Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels alongside the likes of Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham.

The 55-year-old was recently taken into hospital following pain in his neck. This was unfortunately discovered to be down to be something more sinister as he was forced to undergo emergency spinal surgery.
His friend and podcast host Terry Stone revealed that Moran had put off getting help for his neck pain initially and is now ‘not in the best of health’.

“Nick's girlfriend was saying, ‘You’ve got to get it checked out’ but as a bloke he said ‘No I'll put some deep heat on it’,” Stone told the MailOnline.
“Then he went to the doctors and got sent to A&E and told ‘we need to take you in for an emergency operation because this is life threatening’.”

Stone explained he had spoken to one of the actor’s family members who said he had ‘damaged his neck somehow’.
“It’s effecting his spinal cord and some of the things that operate your speech and your legs,” he added.
The podcaster went on to say doctors had determine that Moran could have been left unable to walk or talk unless he had the surgery, something he described as ‘traumatic’. It was not disclosed exactly what was wrong with the star and we respect his right to privacy.
“He's not in the best of health, but when he came out of the operation I was like ‘thank go’ because I think he'd decided he'd rather not walk or talk than die,” Stone added.
He described that it was a ‘micro surgery’ as the team apparently worked to replace bones in his neck ‘with artificial bone’.

“And because there's so many nerves around the neck and spine this made the operation tricky with those awful chances of not being able to speak or walk again,” he added.
Stone also shared that Moran and his family were happy to update fans as he now faces a lengthy recovery from the believed to be successful surgery.
The actor is now speaking ‘which is a good sign’ but is apparently ‘shuffling around like a 100-year-old’ and having to wear a neck brace.
Stone had shared a selfie with his ‘good pal Nick’, revealing that they had filmed a podcast episode together which was released last night (13 April) as he asked fans to pray for a full recovery.

Moran's reps have since shared a promising update, telling LADbible: "Nick Moran had a surgery a little over a week and a half ago and is home walking, talking, and making a full recovery. Nick will be back working on his next film shortly and is looking forward to being back studio tending to his busy schedule.
"Nick would like to thank all of the well wishers and assure them that he is well and appreciative for their support."
