The first trailer for Saw X has been revealed and it looks like we're gearing up for one of the most terrifying films in the franchise.

Tobin Bell is back as the infamous Jigsaw and he's getting personal with his latest round of traps and games.

The film is set in between Saw and Saw II and shows John Kramer travel to Mexico to receive experimental surgery to treat his cancer.

However, when he discovers doctors didn't actually remove his tumour and just rinsed his finances, he decides to make them pay.

And pay they will.

Each member involved in getting Kramer to undergo the surgery wakes up confused and terrified as they find themselves in a strange location.

The legendary Billy arrives on its tricycle to deliver the message that they have to fight for their lives and do it in a timely manner.

Discussing Film has revealed at least two of the 'games' that victims have to play and you might want to stop reading if you're the least bit squeamish.

One involves a man having 'break his fingers one by one or risk his eye balls getting sucked out by vaccum tubes'.

This game was teased last week when Lionsgate dropped the first poster for Saw X and shows this setup in all its horrifying glory.

The pained expression of a man who is about to do everything it takes to stay alive sent shivers down many spines on social media.

The second game really ups the ante.

The entertainment outlet said on Twitter: "One trap from Saw X will include the individual having to perform brain surgery on themselves."

You get to see a snippet of this in the trailer and it's a fairly grisly sight to be honest. It's definitely not for the faint-hearted.

In the trailer, Jigsaw tells the unlucky participants in his sick game that they will have to complete these tasks without anaesthetic.

"But trust me, you will want to remain alert," he ominously tells them.

The official synopsis states: "Armed with a newfound purpose, the infamous serial killer returns to his work, turning the tables on the con artists in his signature visceral way through devious, deranged, and ingenious traps."

Horror lovers all over the globe are clearing on the edge of their seats with thousands eager to feast their eyes on yet another addition to the gory thriller franchise and finally hear Jigsaw deliver his iconic yet stomach-churning line: "It's time to play a game."

Saw X will be available to watch in cinemas this autumn from 29 September.
