I don't know about you, but there are no leftover Easter eggs in my house... that chocolate all gets gobbled up quite quickly.
There's nothing I love more than chocolate. Of course, that's not what Easter is about. Chocolate eggs are merely a tastier replacement for real, chicken eggs that kids spend so long painting and then adults hide them and make them hunt for them.

Or a giant bunny hands them out? How would a bunny get hold of any sort of eggs?
It's a mystery. The one thing I do know is that you shouldn't hold onto eggs for nine years.
The eggs that you paint... well it's been a while since I was on an Easter Egg hunt but as eggs go off so quickly, I can't imagine any of those hanging round for very long.
One man found an old painted egg that was almost a decade old. Gross! I guess if you forget where you hide them...

"My parents had some furniture in storage from mid-2008 until early 2017. Today we found an egg from our 2008 Easter-egg-hunt hiding behind the couch cushions..." he wrote on YouTube.
So of course, Reddit McReddit decides that the best way to deal with it is to crack it open by attacking it with a knife and film it!
Yeah there's nothing that's going to go wrong with that plan.

The paint on the egg is still impressively intact - it even looks quite pretty. When Reddit McReddit shakes it, you can hear the egg inside rattling around in the shell.
I would definitely bin it at this point, but no. He attacks it with a blunt knife and of course, the shell shoots off into the sky and the egg is left on the counter. Interestingly, a baby has been crying throughout the whole video but when the egg is cracked open and the unholy smell is released, it stops wailing. Coincidence?
"It stinks!" shouts a woman in the background.
The egg looks disgusting. This has put me off eggs for life. From now on, I'm sticking to the chocolate ones as I'm pretty sure that chocolate never goes green.
