Call of Duty Modern Warfare Fans Brand New Shipment Map 'Unplayable'

New versions of the maps landed earlier this week, but not everyone is happy

A number of Call of Duty Modern Warfare fans who were hoping for an early Christmas present in the form of brand-new maps and content, were left disappointed branding them 'unplayable'.

Infinity Ward released a bunch of new content on 18 December, including a couple of classic maps from 2007 version of Modern Warfare - Shipment and Vacant.

But eager fans have been left angry and have taken to Twitter to brand Shipment 'unplayable' due to spawning issues, which see players being killed just moments after spawning completely unable to get out of the way of fire fights. Not ideal.

One gutted gamer wrote: "You really need to remove Shipment and re-design it. It's unplayable. You spawn already dead."

Another echoed those sentiments, posting: "You completely ruined shipment and spawns are still absolutely broken, and the game is unplayable.

"I was so excited for the new update and now I'm just disappointed because Shoothouse 24/7 is gone too."

While a third tweeted Activision directly demanding: "I still haven't received my refund for the rubbish Call of Duty? Shipment is unplayable you spawn and die constantly it's shameful."

Yikes.

Clips shared online show how chaotic the map can get at times, something that certainly isn't helped by its small size and it seems as though, for the time being, it's just p***ing fans off.

Still, just last month Infinity Ward responded to a backlash from fans over another chaotic map, by releasing a patch.

Similar to this time 'round, gamers using the Piccadilly - set in London's Piccadilly Circus - also reported spawning problems, with spawns often landing you right in the middle of gunfire and giving you absolutely zero time to do anything about it.

On a post on Reddit, Infinity Ward revealed a host of patch notes including 'spawn tuning while playing TDM and Domination'.

So, fingers crossed Infinity Ward releases a patch to sort out Shipment, eh?
