YouTube Fortnite Gamer FaZe Jarvis Is Leaving £11.5m Mansion After Cheating

YouTube star FaZe Jarvis has told fans he is leaving his $14.8m (£11.5m) LA mansion to be with his family after being banned from playing Fortnite for life.

Earlier this month, the teen told fans he had been booted off the popular first person shooter after cheating in a public game.

Fans were left in the dark with regards to what the future held for the 17-year-old, real name Jarvis Khattri, following the truly shocking revelations. But he has now said he has decided to 'take a break' so that he can 'reflect on what's most important' in his life.

Speaking to his two million subscribers, Jarvis said: "I want to let you all know is that you're going to make mistakes in your life but the most important thing is how you learn from those mistakes and become a better person.

"Taking a break isn't going to be easy, but I know it's the right thing. I'm heading home for a bit to be with my family and reflect on what's most important to me in life and what's next."

The social media star told fans that he had experienced a 'crazy year', but that the shocking cheat allegations had been a 'huge learning process' for him.

This 'process' has led him to give up his enormous 10-bedroom mansion in Los Angeles - known as 'FaZe House'. According to reports, the property boasts a swimming pool, a cinema, and impressive views of the Hollywood Hills.

In the video he uploaded, Jarvis spoke about his family and his upbringing in Surrey.

He said: "Most of you know a fair bit about my life, but I've never really explained how it all began.

"I lived the majority of my life with my mum, my grandma and my brothers. I used to be a pretty normal kid. I was a bit quiet and shy. But this all changed one Christmas when Frazier and I got given our first PlayStation.

"Little did I know this would change my entire life. From this moment forward, my life would never be the same."

Frazier is Jarvis' brother, known as FaZe Kay. The two siblings are members of esports team The FaZe Clan, with which the pair have gone on to make a reported $7.9 million (£6.1 million) in the past year alone.

It's understood that about $3 million (£2.3 million) of this fortune was in prize money, with the remaining $4.9 million (£3.8 million) in sponsorship.
