Brace yourselves, the trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI could literally drop any minute.

For years and years we've been expecting a big announcement - and last month we finally got it.

Rockstar Games took to X to share a long-awaited update to its fanbase.

Millions were instantly filled with excitement when Boss Sam Houser revealed that the first trailer for GTA VI would be coming in 'early December'.

It could even drop while you're reading this.

"In 1998, Rockstar Games was founded on the idea that video games could come to be as essential to culture as any other form of entertainment, and we hope that we have created games you love in our efforts to be part of that evolution," the tweet read.

"We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto.

"We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with all of you."

Although fans will still need to wait a little longer to play the highly anticipated video game, it seems that those with a Netflix subscription will now be able to enjoy three classic GTA titles in the meantime.

Netflix said: "Starting today, fans can pre-register to play Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, featuring the genre-defining titles of Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, each updated for mobile.

"Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition adds to a growing catalog of more than 80 mobile games, with must-play titles across all genres adding further value to all Netflix memberships — including through one of the most iconic series in history, without any ads, in-app purchases, or extra fees."

Excited by the news, one gamer tweeted: "Netflix wasn't playing around when they said they want to be part of the gaming industry."

"And just like that, I learned Netflix has games. Since when?" a second person wrote.

"Playing video games with my roku TV remote as god intended," added a third.

GTA III is coming to Netflix.

“Our job is to incrementally scale to the place where games have a material impact on the business,” co-CEO Greg Peters told analysts on the Q3 2023 earnings interview last month.

“We’ve got ambitious plans there. We want to really grow our engagement by many multiples of where it is today over the next handful of years.”

Here are descriptions of the three GTA titles coming to Netflix on mobile:

  • Grand Theft Auto III – The Definitive Edition: Welcome to Liberty City - Where it all began. With a massive and diverse open world, a wild cast of characters from every walk of life, and the freedom to explore at will, Grand Theft Auto III puts the dark, intriguing, and ruthless world of crime at your fingertips.
  • Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition: Welcome to the 1980s - From the decade of big hair and pastel suits comes the story of one man’s rise to the top of the criminal pile. Grand Theft Auto returns with Tommy Vercetti’s tale of betrayal and revenge in a neon-soaked tropical town full of excess and brimming with possibilities.
  • Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – The Definitive Edition - It’s the early ’90s. After a couple of cops frame him for homicide, Carl “CJ” Johnson is forced on a journey that takes him across the entire state of San Andreas, to save his family and to take control of the streets.
