Ikenna Ekwonna is a contestant on this year’s Love Island and despite only being four days into the show, he has already sparked a few debates.
Who Is Ikenna Ekwonna?
Ikenna is from Nottingham, but it was on one of his rare visits to London that he was spotted and asked to appear on Love Island. This year, the audience chose who would be the first couples on the show, and Ikenna was paired up with Indiyah Polack.

However, despite being chosen by the public, many viewers seem sceptical about the pairing. When Ikenna posted a photo of the two of them together on Instagram, many expressed their reservations. One fan of the show commented under the post saying ‘Indiyah doesn’t look happy’, while another slightly more open minded follower stated, ‘I don’t see this one [crying face emoji] but we’ll wait and see.’
These negative comments won’t be the only ones you’ll see under Ikenna’s posts. In fact, research carried out by SEO Works has found that, so far, Ikenna appears to be the least popular contestant, having received the highest percentage of ‘negative sentiments’ on social media.
How Tall Is Ikenna?
It did not take long for viewers to spot that Ikenna seems a fair bit taller than some of the others. At 6 ft 5, Ikenna is up there with some of the show’s tallest ever contestants. However, the top spot is still reserved for the 2019 contestant Ovie Soko, who stood at an impressive 6 ft 7.

Ikenna’s name has also been something of a talking point. A clip of Amber and Indiyah struggling to remember his name divided viewers. While some found it hilarious, others were left feeling sorry for Ikenna.
What Does Ikenna Do For A Living?
Before he was scouted for Love Island, Ikenna worked as a pharmaceutical salesperson.
As for age, he is 23 years old, placing him within the most typical age range of Love Island men, of whom almost half are between 23 and 26 years old.
