The celebrities taking part in the first ever series of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa have been announced.

The reality TV series will see former I'm A Celeb stars battle it out to become the very first ever 'I'm A Celebrity Legend'.

Yes, the much-loved show is back - but not like you've ever seen it before.

ITV have of course kept the core components the same; there will still be celebrities, there will still be Ant & Dec, and there will still be plenty of rancid animal encounters.

However, there will be some notable differences too.

This time around, the celebs won't be in the bush Down Under but South Africa, obviously, and the whole show has been prerecorded.

That also means there won't be the usual public vote. Instead, the celebs will be battling out against each other to achieve I'm A Celebrity legendary status.

And now the first group of celebrities taking part in the launch episode have been announced.

So, without further ado, here they are:

. Boxing Champion – Amir Khan

. Diversity Dancer & DJ – Jordan Banjo

. Former Coronation Street star – Helen Flanagan

. TV Presenter – Carol Vorderman

. Olympic Athlete – Fatima Whitbread

. Former Royal Butler – Paul Burrell

. Ex-England Cricketer – Phil Tufnell

. Supermodel – Janice Dickinson

. Music Legend – Shaun Ryder

The first celebrities to enter camp have been announced.

ITV added that 'many more' celebs will be taking part, but people will have to tune in to find out who they are and when they will be entering camp.

Teasing the new show, ITV said: "I'm A Celebrity...South Africa is a brand new show which sees the return of some of the most memorable campmates from I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in the brand new setting of South Africa.

"They survived the Australian jungle, but South Africa is an even harder proposition which will push them to their limits and test them like never before.

"The challenges are bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving.

"Whilst nodding back to the Australian jungle, I'm A Celebrity...South Africa is a uniquely different series so viewers can look forward to lots of unexpected twists and turns."

The show will air next month on ITV1 and ITVX.
