Biologist Explains Why Some People Have Foot Fetishes

A biologist has taken to TikTok to reveal the science behind having a foot fetish - watch the video here:

He said that foot fetishes occur due to the part of the brain called the somatosensory cortex, which is the area that makes 'you feel things'.

Valkai said: "You can see that your feet and your toes are right next to your genitals on your brain.

"It's so easy for these wires to get crossed because they're literally bumping up against each other.

"That's why foot fetishes are the most common fetishes in the world."

A study from 2007, backs up Valkai's claim about the various fetishes. Over 5,000 participants were involved and it showed that 'feet and objects associated with feet were the most common target of preferences'.

Although the stigma around fetishes and kinks have decreased over the years, some Love Island fans were not impressed with Jake Cornish, 24, sharing his love for feet in the first episode.

"Touching toes Jake love ur not making this whole foot fetish thing better for yourself," one user tweeted.

Another said: "If I hear the word foot fetish one more time I'm going to vomit on the floor."

Meanwhile a fan complained "Can't believe I had to go out and buy a pink nail polish yesterday cause I can't even bare to paint my own toes white anymore, Jake off of Love Island's foot fetish is the real pandemic."

Although the request would seem bizarre to some, the award-winning director, happily obliged and the fan was delighted.

She also asked Tarantino if he'd rate her foot, to which he replied, 'I wouldn't rate it, but it would be at the top'.

The director has many scenes involving feet throughout his films such as Django Unchained, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Despite foot fetishes being the most popular of kinks, it seems that based on the reaction of social media that many are still sceptical of the idea. Each to their own!
