Jennifer Lawrence has admitted that she still Googles an old classmate of hers after she accidentally subjected him to an embarrassing episode.

The Hollywood star is currently promoting her upcoming movie No Hard Feelings where she plays a woman hired to seduce Andrew Barth Feldman's 'unf**kable teenager'.

The R-rated movie sees her play Maddie, a woman who needs to buy a new car pronto after her last one was taken by an ex.

She's given an offer from the parents of an awkward 19-year-old teenager to 'date' him and in exchange she'll get a car.

That's the premise of the movie, and according to Lawrence it's based on a true story after the team behind the film spotted a very similar add on Craigslist.

During the promotional tour for the movie, Lawrence and Feldman's chat with E! News turned towards their own awkward experiences at a younger age.

Lawrence immediately got down to the business of naming and shaming someone who bullied her in middle school, and then revealed she'd accidentally been the architect of someone else's misery.

She said: "This one girl named Meredith handed me a stack of invitations to her birthday party, but I was not invited. She asked me to hand them out. Isn't that so mean?"

Mean indeed, but Lawrence then said she got her revenge by spitting on the invited and dumping them in the bin.

The star then admitted being an 'accidental bully' at one point in school and the target of her error had been an unlucky kid named Tyler.

Lawrence explained that she'd once 'pantsed this kid named Tyler'. If you aren't familiar with pantsing, it's where you pull someone's pants down, though for the sake of dignity and decency, you leave their undies where they are.

Unfortunately for Lawrence she accidentally managed to pull down more than just poor Tyler's pants.

She said: "We were pantsing people at a football game, and I accidentally grabbed his underwear. He got really embarrassed and I feel really bad. I'm sorry."

The actor said she occasionally hopped onto Google and looked Tyler up just to check in with how he was doing.

Elsewhere in her career, Lawrence has been working on a documentary about the Taliban with the production company she founded alongside friend, Justine Ciarrocchi, behind the project.

Largely shot in secret by filmmakers on the ground in Afghanistan, the documentary has premiered at Cannes.
