Joel Corry once went and surprised a group of five-a-side lads after they brilliantly named their football team after him.

The chart-topping DJ was amazed when a bunch of guys named their football team 'Joel Corry FC' because they love 'all of his tunes'.

Back in 2019, the English music producer dropped single 'Sorry', which reached number six in the UK Singles Chart.
And then a year later, Corry released the singles 'Lonely' and 'Head & Heart', and the latter spent six weeks at number one in the UK singles chart.
Since becoming a big name in the UK music industry, Corry spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live back in 2021, and revealed that he turned up unannounced to surprise the group of players.
"Honestly, it's amazing," he told hosts Scott Mills and Chris Stark.

"So I got a message on Instagram, it was from a guy and he was like, 'Hey Joel, me and my mates have started a 5-a-side Monday team in your honour and we've called the team Joel Corry FC.
"'We love all your tunes and we'd love for you to come down and see us play one day.'
"I screenshotted it and sent it to my mate and said, 'I think this guy's having me on, this has to be a joke'."
He added: "But then we Googled 'Joel Corry FC' and the table and the fixtures and the results all came up on Google from like Power Play.

"So we were like, 'Oh my god, this is a legit thing'.
"So I was like, 'Right, let's find out when they're next playing. I'm not going to reply to this message but I'm going to turn up and surprise the team'.
"So we literally found out where they were playing and it was like last Monday (2021) and yeah we just turned up and surprised the boys."
The DJ then tweeted a photo alongside the squad - simply captioned: "JOEL CORRY FC."

According to Power Play, Joel Corry FC's all time stats include eight wins, one draw and 12 losses.
Their longest winning steak was 4 wins from 14 June 2021 to 5 July 2021, while the losing streak of 7 losses from 21 September 2020 to 2 November 2020.
The greatest thrashing they have given was vs Havent Got A Kalou on 10 May 2021, where they won 11-0.
However, their biggest lost came against The Chinboys who smashed them 11-3.
