Former reality star Kate Ferdinand is very successful in her own right, as well as being married to footballer Rio Ferdinand. Together it’s estimated that the couple are worth $57 million, but how much is Kate Ferdinand’s net worth alone?
She first shot to fame in 2015 after being cast in The Only Way Is Essex, where she dated Dan Edgar. The show documented their ups and downs, and the relationship wasn’t meant to be. Kate was then introduced to Rio in January of 2017, but she wanted to keep the relationship private and told producers that she wanted her relationship to be off camera. Kate said Rio was forthcoming about wanting to be together: “We were eating a fry-up in a cafe in Bromley and he said, ‘I really like you and I really like your dog, will you be my girlfriend?’"
By September she had quit reality TV and moved in with Rio and became stepmother to his three children. She said at the time: “I’m taking a step back from the public eye, I want to keep my life private as I lived my previous relationship on TOWIE, my priority right now is Rio and the family."
Her fame thanks to TOWIE and her relationship with Rio has proven to be lucrative, and in 2022 it’s estimated that Kate is worth $1.5 million. Earlier this year, the star signed a huge contract with clothing company Very. A source told The Sun Online: "Kate has signed a huge six figure contract with Very.
"She's absolutely thrilled to land the modelling job and establish a new career."
Kate also regularly shares sponsored content and adverts on her Instagram, working with the likes of Primark and Meatless Farm after she clocked up nearly 1.4 million followers. Influencers with a similar sized following can charge thousands of pounds per post for sharing an item with their supporters. She also had her own podcast, called Blended, about family dynamics. Advertisers will also pay serious cash for a placement on an episode, and she currently has released 15 so far.
Kate has also teamed up with two other mums to open Dolly’s Doughnuts, a place where she says she hopes “to create somewhere you can bring your kids along whatever the age. Donut decorating for all ages, milkshakes & a place to chill for the teenagers & the best coffees & donuts for us parents for after school drop off!”
Her earnings are only going to keep increasing!
