People with just a Netflix account in Australia will be pleased to know one of the biggest and best sitcoms of all time will be coming next month.

Al 10 seasons of the incredible Friends will land on Netflix Australia on September 17.

You can already hear Janise yelling 'ohhhhhh myyyyy gawwwd' can't you?

The series has been streaming on Stan for a while now but those days where you're hungover and bingeing through all the highs and lows on that streaming service are now numbered.

Netflix made the announcement today (August 19) and people seem pretty excited at the idea, with one person on social media writing: "Could I BE any more excited?"

The show ended more than 16 years ago but that hasn't stopped fans from watching it until this very day.

Until the show comes to Netflix, we can get very excited about the prospect of the gang getting back together for a reunion episode.

David Schwimmer, who played the unforgettable Ross Geller, revealed shooting could be happening this month if everything goes according to plan.

The special will also feature 'special bits', according to Schwimmer - although he didn't expand on what that might mean.

Speaking on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he said: "It's supposed to happen maybe in August, the middle of August, but honestly we're going to wait and see another week or two if we all determine it's really safe enough to do. And if not, then we'll wait until it's safe."

It will air in the US on HBO Max and will see all six of the main characters back together for the episode.

Co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry will join Schwimmer for the reunion, which was originally supposed to air in May, but was put on hold due to the pandemic.

On The Tonight Show, he also told finally settled the debate about whether Rachel and Ross were on a break.

The actor spoke about the famous scene with host Fallon, setting out exactly where he stands on whether Ross and Rachel (played by Jennifer Aniston) were actually split up and whether he did actually cheat on his on-off girlfriend.

Schwimmer said: "People are so passionately divided on whether or not [Ross and Rachel] were 'on a break'."

When asked if the couple were broken up, Schwimmer stayed true to his character, saying immediately: "Yes, it's not even a question, they were on a break."

More fuel that fire, then.
