A man has gone viral on the internet for being the absolute spitting image of Elon Musk.

A video that was posted on Douyin, which is China's version of TikTok, shows the bloke standing next to a black car and looking into the camera.

It's uncanny the likeness between this unnamed individual and the tech billionaire who founded Tesla, PayPal and SpaceX.

He's been called Yi Long Musk by people in the comments section and he's taken the internet by storm.

Someone alleged the video could be a deepfake, which is a sophisticated technology that allows users to put a face on someone else's body in an impressive way.

There's no way to really tell as we have no clue who the gentleman is in the video and therefore we can't get him to prove it was really his face.

If it turns out to be real, then Elon Musk might want to update his phone security because this guy could definitely use the device's face ID to log in.

Hell, the guy could probably go around bars in China and get away with saying he was recently named TIME Magazine's Person of the year.

Musk was bestowed that honour this week after being recognised for all his technological advancements throughout 2021.

TIME's announcement read: "For creating solutions to an existential crisis, for embodying the possibilities and the perils of the age of tech titans, for driving society's most daring and disruptive transformations, Elon Musk is TIME's 2021 Person of the Year."

The magazine also wrote: "We don't yet know how fully Tesla, SpaceX and the ventures Musk has yet to think up will change our lives.

"At 50, he has plenty of time to write the future, his own and ours. Like it or not, we are now in Musk's world."

TIME said that 2021 has been a year that's "brought home the extent to which, at a time of rising protest over ever deepening inequality, our lives and many of the basic structures around them are now shaped by the pursuits, products and priorities of the world's wealthiest people."

The publication also gave an award for 'Heroes of the Year' to the 'miracle workers' who helped create coronavirus vaccines.

'Entertainer Of The Year' was awarded to Olivia Rodrigo, whilst 'Athlete Of The Year' was given to US gymnast Simone Biles.
