Emma Watson Says She Fell In Love With Tom Felton On The Harry Potter Set

The Harry Potter 20th Anniversary special drops on January 1, but we're already getting tea from the cast in teasers sent to the press.
One such snippet is from Emma Watson, our Hermione Granger, who has revealed she 'fell in love' with co-star Tom Felton, or Draco Malfoy, on the set.
In the special, which will share new details on the production with in-depth interviews and cast conversations, the Harry Potter actors reflect on their time in the Hogwarts universe.

Watson says the filming saw her develop a crush on Felton, particularly while they were in a tutoring session between filming.
It's refreshing to know that not even Hermione Granger was immune to Draco Malfoy's devious charms.

"I used to come in every day and look for him," said Watson.
"I walked into the room where we were having tutoring and I just don't know how to say it - I just fell in love with him.
"I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet it was an extra exciting day."
I love this thirsty energy from her and it's giving me big flashbacks to strategic seating choices in high school so you could be near your crush of the week.

Felton was 14 when the first Harry Potter movie came out while Watson was 11.
I could barely muster the confidence to go to school each day when I was 11, so the fact Watson kicked off her entire career at that age is incredibly wild to me.
"I walked into the room where we were having tutoring. The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard," Watson said.
Please stop it, my tiny emo heart cannot take these details.
"He was three years above me and so for him he was like: 'you're like my little sister'."

The absolute savagery comes from Felton's response, when he reflects on the fact that despite the crush, the pair never dated.
Felton said: 'I think I was in the hair and make-up chair and someone said something along the lines of, "Yeah, she had a crush on you."
This is my worst teenage nightmare come to life and I'm personally amazed Hermione didn't just bail from the films there and then.
"I became very protective over her. Yeah, I've always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day. There's always been something that's like, I don't know, a kinship."
Friendzone. You hate to see it.

But the pair have remained friends and we can only assume Watson doesn't still carry a torch for him all these years later.
Plus, she's currently with her 'serious boyfriend of over a year' Leo Robinton, who she probably isn't planning to ditch on the off chance her tween crush blows back into her life.
This isn't the first time she's dropped the crush on Felton either, she's mentioned it in hundreds of interviews, so maybe she's manifesting a reunion for some point in their life.
Watson and Felton aren't the only ones who spill the tea on the Harry Potter reunion set, with Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe, also sharing the story of his first kiss and growing up on the film set.
"Every part of my life is connected to Potter and to Leavesden. My first kiss is connected to someone here, my first girlfriends were here... everything I can think of is that related right now. It all spirals out from the Potter set somewhere," he said.
