The Shook Filter Turns One Of Cinema’s Saddest Moments Into Something Hilarious

The Shook Filter Turns One Of Cinema’s Saddest Moments Into Something Hilarious

The filter known as 'Shook' completely changes the mood of Tony Stark's funeral scene in Avengers: Endgame.

A silly Snapchat filter has turned one of the most shattering cinematic scenes in recent history into something utterly hilarious.

Tony Stark’s funeral in Avengers: Endgame left us all reeling as we exited the theatres.

In the movie, the legendary superhero retrieved all Infinity Stones while coming up against Thanos and managed to kill the villain but had to sacrifice himself.

In the heartbreaking scene, a tribute wreath honouring the late father and husband is released into a creek at his cabin house while family and friends look on in despair.

But thanks to this extremely funny filter, it shows Tony Stark’s nearest and dearest have their faces morphed into manic smiles while they're trying to mourn their fallen hero.

Hulk, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Pepper Potts, Winter Soldier, and Spider-Man display huge bulging eyes and wide closed creepy mouths.

And this is something I certainly can’t unsee.

The video posted to Reddit has left viewers in stitches with one person writing: “My god that Hulk one got me.”

Another commented: “Dude turned into Steve Buscemi.”

A third person said: “This is what nightmares are made of.”

Another wrote: “This is the s**t what makes the internet interesting for me.”

Some also noted how the filter made the actors look like ‘Dwight Schrute’ the iconic The Office character, who is known for his deadpan expression.

However, this isn’t the only time the face filter, known as ‘Shook’, has completely ruined a dramatic moment in a film.

A TikTok user uploaded a video using the face filter while watching a scene from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith during Obi-Wan and Anakin’s legendary battle sequence.

One person wrote: “I wanna see this in the High Ground scene.”

Another commented: “What is this f**king filter?”

While another said: “I did this to Jacksepticeye once.”

Another TikTok user took the liberty of using the hugely popular ‘Crying face’ Snapchat filter on some of the most memorable scenes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, leaving viewers crying with laughter.

One person commented: “Iron Man snapping went so good with the filter.”

While another wrote: “This is hilarious.”

This proves that you can make anything funny with this cheeky face filter.
