Google Maps: Man Falling Down Stairs Backwards Captured On Street View

Google Maps has picked up another funny moment as a man falls down a flight of stairs in New York.

Google Maps is a bit of a weird concept. Essentially, it's a super scientific stalking machine on wheels. It's great if you want to digitally view your own house, see how big someone's garden is or if you want to follow roads and streets on your screen before you set off on your journey. But mounting a 360-degree camera on a car and then driving it around the world for our viewing pleasure has other benefits too, like being able to watch a man fall down a flight of stairs on Willow Street, New Jersey, USA.

The real-time footage, which has now been blurred out, has full on captured a lad having a worse day than you.

Just imagine it. You're just going about your day, merrily walking up the stairs to your apartment, then next thing you know you're on your back wondering where it all went wrong, as the Google Maps car drives past.

If you take a closer look at the location of the accident, you'll spot two interesting buildings across the road. The first is 'Diamond Gymnastics' which has images of an acrobat flipping and spinning across the store front, which mimics the man's decent down the stairs.

Perhaps the man was returning home from an intense 45-minute Zumba sesh, which would be enough to turn anyone's legs to jelly. He could have been racing home to show his wife the new Merengue step he'd mastered before misjudging the impact it'd had on his calves and then boom, down he goes.

Had the man been to Zumba before his fall?

Alternatively, he could have popped in next door to an Irish bar called Finnegan's, which seems like a more likely story.

The Google Maps vehicle has made our lives so much easier since its launch in February 2005. It's not just become integral to our everyday lives, but it's provided us with some weird and wonderful sights like the street girls of Botoga and a mysterious blacked out Russian Island too.

So, if you think you're having a bad day, just remember this guy.
