Keanu Reeves' publicist has clarified that the actor did not donate 70 per cent of his salary from The Matrix to charity.

LADbible published a story about Mr Reeves on December 28 that was based off a source that has been revealed to be false.

It alleged the Canadian actor gave away a large portion of his earnings from the first Matrix film to a cancer charity because his sister had battled leukemia.

Mr Reeves' representative has since clarified that never happened.

We apologise to Mr Reeves and to our audience for our mistake.
