Catholics Are Accusing Kourtney Kardashian And Travis Barker Of Mocking Their Religion

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been criticised for mocking the Catholic religion following their wedding. 

Over the weekend, the Blink-182 drummer and reality star had an official wedding ceremony held in Portofino, Italy, according to Vogue.

Kardashian wore a corset mini dress with a Dolce & Gabbana veil with the image of the Virgin Mary embroidered into the headpiece down the aisle.

And while some applauded Kardashian for her daring wedding look, many slammed The Kardashians star on social media, accusing her of poking fun at the Catholic faith.

One person wrote: “I just really feel like Travis & Kourtney [sic] wedding is mocking the catholic religion? They don’t symbolise religious people at all, just feels like mockery. I’m not catholic but just doesn’t sit right with me.”

Another person said: “Kourtney Kardashian is a baptized Armenian Apostolic Christian. She could have had a beautiful Orthodox wedding. Instead, she chose to mock the Catholic faith. Because even heathens recognise true beauty.”

A third person wrote: “Kourtney Kardashian isn’t even catholic but here she is once again trying to act artsy with the veil just to appeal to Travis’ likes.”

Another person commented: “Kourtney Kardashian not being catholic and using La Virgen de Guadalupe as an aesthetic is just straight disrespectful.”

While another person said, the couple had reduced the religion to an ‘artistic symbolism’ with all the Catholic iconography.

However, scathing remarks didn’t stop there, as people also panned the couple over their tiny portion-sized food at the reception.

In an Instagram story captured by Kardashian’s half-sister, Kylie Jenner, the beauty mogul is seen served a spoonful of pasta, which some have even labelled a ‘hate crime’.

One person wrote: “This qualifies as a hate crime where I’m from.”

Another commented: “The pasta portion size at Kourtney Kardashian's wedding is the one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen.”

While a third person said: “The pasta portion sizes at Kourtney Kardashian’s wedding yesterday. personally, if a portion isn’t the size of my face I’m not interested.”

Perhaps wedding guests smashed a cheeseburger at the McDonald’s drive-through due to the lack of food served at the reception.
