Mark Hoppus Plays Blink-182 Songs Live For The First Time Since Beating Cancer

Mark Hoppus has performed live Blink-182 songs for the first time since beating brain cancer earlier this year.

The legendary bassist played alongside bandmate Travis Barker and guitarist Kevin 'Thrasher' Gruft for a Halloween event called the 'House of Horrors'.

The trio played 'What's My Age Again', 'The Rock Show' and 'Family Reunion' and it was absolutely epic to see Hoppus back in his element.

Barker paid tribute to his friend and bandmate before the performance, saying: "That's my brother. Mark doing this, and us playing a few songs, is just incredible.

"I've been with him through this whole process. and he's just been so strong and resilient and tough. It's awesome."

To make sure they were in the Halloween spirit, they came prepared with outfits. Hoppus was dressed as Batman, Barker was Frankenstein's Monster and Gruft was a character from the video game Among Us.

After they finished their three songs, Barker stayed on drums and called on some other famous friends to keep rocking out.

We got to see the likes of Avril Lavigne, iann dior, blackbear, Machine Gun Kelly and jxdn play on stage.

Lavigne busted out 'Sk8er Boi' and 'Girlfriend' while MGK pumped through 'Wanna Be' and 'Sick and Tired' with some of the other artists.

Mark Hoppus announced to the world in September that, after a few brutal rounds of chemotherapy, he was officially cancer free.

He revealed to his followers: "Just saw my oncologist and I'm cancer free!!

"Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love.

"Still have to get scanned every six months and it'll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed. Can I get a W in the chat?"

The big news came after he explained how he had to take a test in July that would ultimately decide his fate.

Back in July, he had to take a test that would ultimately decide what his chances were of surviving.

Hoppus tweeted: "Apologies if I'm oversharing but it's so surreal to think that this week I'll take a test that may very well determine if I live or die.

"Thanks to everyone for the positive thoughts and encouragement. I read all your replies and it means the world to me."

He never revealed to the world what the result to that test was, however clearly he was able to overcome his cancer.
