The weekend is nearly here, and it looks like it's going to be a wet one, if you live in the UK anyway. So, what better way to spend your free time than having a movie marathon in the comfort of your own home? Stock up on some popcorn on the way from work and you won't even need to leave the house until Monday.

Netflix has so many amazing movies and series to keep you entertained that scrolling through the endless menus picking what to watch can become a bit of a chore. Don't worry though, we've spent our morning looking through all the latest films the streaming service has to offer, so all you have to do is sit back and chill.

Sully

Clint Eastwood gets behind the camera for this epic drama that follows the story of pilot Chesley Sullenberger who landed a plane on New York's Hudson river.

Sully is a must watch.
Netflix

Warner Bros official synopsis reads, "On Thursday, January 15th, 2009, the world witnessed the "Miracle on the Hudson" when Captain Chesley Sullenberger, nicknamed "Sully", glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career."

The whole thing is based on a true story too, which is just another reason to give it a go.

Mother!

Mother! is absolutely horrific, in a good way
Paramount

Mother! was one of the most controversial releases in 2017. People rushed to the cinema to see whether it lived up to the hype, and we can confirm that it does. It's an uneasy watch with some truly gasp-provoking moments.

The official synopsis reads: "A young woman spends her days renovating the Victorian mansion that she lives in with her husband in the countryside. When a stranger knocks on the door one night, he becomes an unexpected guest in their home. Later, his wife and two children also arrive to make themselves welcome. Terror soon strikes when the beleaguered wife tries to figure out why her husband is so seemingly friendly and accommodating to everyone but her."

Blade Runner 2049

Harrison is back for round 2 in Blade Runner 2049
Warner Bros. and Sony

The original Blade Runner is known to be one of the greatest films of all time, despite some people getting it confused with a vampire flick starring Wesley Snipes. This sci-fi sequel stars Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling and definitely doesn't feature any vampires.

Here's the official synopsis: "Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what's left of society into chaos. K's discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years."

Hopefully that's enough to keep you going, happy watching!
