New Reality TV Show Labor Of Love Sees 15 Men Competing To Impregnate Woman They've Never Met

They've really ramped up the dating show format for this one.

There have been some absolutely bonkers ideas for reality TV shows ever since the format took off, but this latest one looks like it will take the cake.

Labor of Love premiered this week on America's Fox network and has a concept you might be familiar with. Before it takes a major twist.

Fifteen men are thrown into the same home as one single woman - and they have to compete for her attention. While it gives us very big Bachelorette vibes, the winning man's main goal is to impregnate the, erm, lucky lady.

The woman in question is Kristy Katzmann, who is desperately wanting a baby.

She told Fox: "I've just turned 40 and have just gotten out of a relationship. I've been trying to navigate dating, knowing that I still want to start a family and that time was definitely not on my side. I think it's a really incredible story that a lot of women will be able to relate to."

The contestants will all be vying for Kristy's love and affection over the next few weeks and they'll be put through some tests and exercises to see if they'll be the right dad for their soon-to-be baby.

The trailer for the series shows the blokes hooked up to labor pain machines, fending off a wild bear that invades their campsite and other stress-inducing challenges to prove they have what it takes to be a father.

Labor of Love will be hosted by Sex and the City's Kristin Davis, who was very memorably desperate for a family in the famous TV series.

To promote the show, Kristy took to Instagram to say: "This week...a powerful journey that I know SO many of you will relate to begins.

"It will make you laugh, it will make you cry, and it will keep you guessing right up until the very end.

"What are you willing to put on the line to make your biggest dreams come true? How vulnerable can you truly be? Can you stay true to yourself in the middle of the storm? Do you know how strong you really are? Are you open to a new and totally different story? Can you be comfortable being uncomfortable... in front of the world? Do you have an open mind? Can you stand in your own power? Can you trust yourself, no matter what? What will it take for you to become your own hero?"

Makes Love Island look like Antiques Roadshow, doesn't it?
