Nick Cannon is a proud dad once again after his girlfriend, Brittany Bell, welcomed their second child together.

A Former Miss Arizona USA, Bell revealed the pair's latest arrival on Instagram on Christmas Day, announcing that she and Cannon had welcomed a new baby daughter - and her name is certainly something different.

"The best gift ever we have been surprised with... A GIRL!!!!!" Bell captioned a series of family photos. "Powerful Queen Cannon came this week perfect timing for Christmas."

"So much more to share," Bell said. "All I can say is that Nick was my rock through the most intense yet empowering natural water birth. It was nothing but POWERFUL Merry Christmas!!!! THANK YOU GOD."

The name has clearly divided social media, with many raising an eyebrow over the pair's unusual choice.

"Nick Cannon named his new baby girl after his ex-wife.......'Powerful Queen'" one Twitter user joked.

Another added: "Nick Cannon and Brittany Bell announce the arrival of baby Powerful Queen. Congrats on the baby, and for being insufferable."

It follows a tradition of unusual monikers for Cannon's kids, with he and Bell also parents to three-year-old son, Golden, while Cannon also shares nine-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe, with ex-wife singer Mariah Carey.

Cannon has previously gushed over being a father, saying that raising kids was 'what I was put on this Earth to do.'

"We're here to be fruitful and multiply," he explained. "That's what our beings are made for, so we can raise our offspring up so they can have offspring, and [have] generations after generations."

"Kids kind of bring that vibrant side [out] of me so whenever I can be a part of that process I'm with it."

In July, Cannon caused controversy after making anti-Semitic comments on his YouTube podcast, Cannon's Class.

Following the backlash, he was fired from his hosting gig on improv show Wild 'N Out.

Cannon later apologised for the remarks and currently remains the host of reality singing competition series The Masked Singer.
