Paul Bettany Says His Kids Reckon Vision Is The Worst Avenger

When he logged on to Disney+ to watch Moon Knight, he noticed his kids had changed his profile name to something rather harsh.

Paul Bettany has revealed his kids like to mock him for playing Vision, the artificial-intelligence-turned-humanoid Avenger superhero.

Vision started out as JARVIS, the artificially intelligent computer assistant to Tony Stark, before graduating to his own body.

He also has his own critically acclaimed spin-off series, WandaVision, with on-screen lover Wanda Maximoff (played by Elisabeth Olsen).

But, despite Vision's journey from CPU to full-on Avenger in the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe), Bettany's kids are still less than impressed.

Speaking to Seth Meyers on chat show Late Night with Seth Meyers, Bettany revealed he recently came across something rather shocking.

"I wanted to watch Moon Knight so I tried to log in to my Disney+ account and they had edited my profile," Bettany told Meyers and the studio audience, before showing what his children had done to his account.

The profile picture for his account is (of course) an image of Vision, however his children had renamed his profile to read 'The Worst Avenger'.

"Yeah, I have my suspicions but I don't actually know who [did it]," Bettany said of the prank, which host Meyers called 'very cruel'.

The WandaVision actor joked: "Maybe you're all beginning to build up some picture of my home life."

Ouch. Clearly his kids haven't read up on the failings of Hawkeye. But we digress.

Bettany said that the brutal, anti-Vision sledging doesn't end there.

"They torture me with it," the 50-year-old actor said. "My daughter has moved through all of the other Avengers as her favourite. It's never, never me."

Kids can be cruel.

Apparently they haven't seen all the Hawkeye memes.

Bettany and his wife Jennifer Connelly are parents to sons Kai, 23, Stellan, 18, and daughter Agnes, 10.

The British actor did reveal what it was like filming WandaVision, Marvel's first foray into the small screen.

"It was a real joy," Bettany said. "We didn't feel any pressure because we were supposed to come second out of the gate.

"We thought we were going to be a kooky, niche show that five people would watch but those five people would really love it.

"Then we came out first and we kind of s**t ourselves and then it went down really well."

For those that may have missed it, Vision (and a few other fan favourites) met a brutal end in Avengers: Endgame.

WandaVision dealt with his lover Wanda's initial fallout after the loss of her loved one, but in a post-WandaVision world, a large question mark lingers over Vision's story.

Neither Bettany nor Marvel have announced if his character will be returning to the MCU, but he could come back through the character of White Vision.

We'll just have to wait and see.
