Look Both Ways On Netflix: Release Date, Cast And Trailer Details

What you need to know about Look Both Ways starring Lili Reinhart.

There’s a whole load of multiverse and other life content out there right now (we’re looking at you, Marvel, and Everything Everywhere All At Once). However, Netflix’s forthcoming release takes a sweeter look at the age-old “what if” and alternate life scenario.

Rather than the mind-bending properties of the aforementioned multiverses, Look Both Ways addresses the two different paths that could take place for Natalie, on the eve of her college graduation.

After all, graduating is a fork in the road for many young people trying to decide who they want to be - and who they want to go through life with, with many options ahead of them. Who hasn’t wondered “what if?”

When is Look Both Ways coming out?

You haven’t got too much longer to wait, as the Netflix romantic comedy is due for release on August 17th, 2022. It has a run time of 1 hour 50 minutes, and fans have been teased in the run-up to the release date with behind-the-scenes pictures and a trailer.

Stars of the film have also been posting the trailer and sharing their excitement ahead of the release, with lead actress Lili Reinhart sharing the trailer on Twitter.

Who is in the cast of Look Both Ways?

Many people will recognise leading lady Lili Reinhart from her role in Riverdale as Betty Cooper, and also received rave reviews for her part in 2019’s Hustlers. Look Both Ways will be her Netflix film debut. Danny Ramirez is a star on the rise after his appearance in Top Gun: Maverick as Lt. Mickey ‘Fan Boy’ Garcia, and he also appeared in The Falcon & The Winter Soldier series.

Wes Anderson fans will recognise Luke Wilson from many of his works, including The Royal Tenenbaums and Bottle Rocket. Nia Long is known for Big Momma’s House, The Best Man and The Best Man Holiday.

Aisha Dee starred in another popular Netflix series, the Bold Type, as journalist Kat Edison.

Twitter users have been comparing the film to the iconic Sliding Doors, and asking if it’s a remake of the original. The film is directed by Wanuri Kahiu from a screenplay written by April Prosser.

Lili has a loyal fanbase who have also been sharing their excitement as her leading role, praising her as a talented actress, while fans of Danny Ramirez have been wishing time away and for the film to be released already. Good things come to those who wait!

Netflix has also released an official synopsis: “On the eve of her college graduation, Natalie’s [Lili Reinhart] life diverges into two parallel realities: one in which she becomes pregnant and must navigate motherhood as a young adult in her Texas hometown, the other in which she moves to LA to pursue her career. In both journeys throughout her twenties, Natalie experiences life-changing love, devastating heartbreak and rediscovers herself.”
