The well known actor, comedian and television host James Corden is back starring in another TV series.

This brand new bizarre comedy has been titled Mammals, and arrives straight from the brilliant mind of Jez Butterworth.

With a star studded cast and a well experienced writing team, this new Amazon Prime series will sure to be a must watch!

What Is Mammals About?

Despite Mammals arriving pretty soon, Amazon has cleverly kept the show's plot very well hidden.

However what we do know comes straight from the writer's mouth, with Jez Butterworth hinting that “It's a relationship comedy that doesn't really discuss relationships at any point.”

Instead, Butterworth believes the show plays more as a “whodunit”, joking that most real-life relationships do end up “as crime scenes”.

Although you probably want to know more before testing out the series, It sounds like it’s been a blessing that the show’s details have been kept quiet, with Butterworth explaining that although he’d “love to be able to reveal more, if he took you more than about six minutes into it, he would ruin the series”.

Mammals Cast:

This new series has a star studded cast, with James Corden and Sally Hawkins taking the main roles in the show.

James Corden rise to fame came from co-writing and starring in the English TV series Gavin and Stacy, which initially ran from 2007 to 2010.

For this he earned himself a BAFTA Television Award for The Best Comedy Performance.

Since then Corden’s career has not slowed down, creating his own programs across the world, with the United States knowing him best as the host of The Late Late Show.

Sally Hawkins is another big name in the TV and film industry, having been both Oscar and BAFTA nominated during her time on screen, appearing in popular films such as Paddington (2014) and The Shape of Water (2017).

Who is also set to appear and what have they also appeared in?

  • Melia Kreiling (Filthy Rich)
  • Colin Morgan (Merlin, Humans)
  • Henry Lloyd-Hughes (The Inbeweeners, Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire)
  • Samuel Anderson (Another Life)

When Will Mammals Be Released And How Many Episodes Will There Be?

Although the show first being teased to us in July 2021, there has been no set release date.

All we do know is that the show will have six episodes and arrive exclusively on Amazon Prime later this year.
